PhysicsWorldGetContactRecycleDistance# ( world )

Parameters

world - live explicit physics world

Description

Returns the authored contact-recycling distance in metres, as a Float.

The default is 0.05. This reports a policy value, not a measurement of body motion or contact speed.

Sets the native relative-motion distance tolerance for reusing contact data. Zero disables world contact recycling. Both contact bodies must also permit recycling. Larger tolerances can retain approximate contact data over more motion; this is a performance/accuracy policy, not collision padding, contact separation or a sleep threshold.

Reading this value does not change simulation state.

Ordinary world/body arguments must be live handles of the correct kind; invalid or stale handles raise a runtime error. Mutations are rejected while the owning world is stepping.

Requires Extended mode.
