SetTabberItemDragMode tabber,index,mode
Parameters
|
tabber - tabber gadget index - zero-based tab item index mode - permitted drag actions: 0: no dragging 1: reorder along the tab strip 2: tear off (the initial mode) 3: reorder and tear off |
Description
|
Sets whether a tab can be dragged to reorder it or torn off the strip. After the pointer moves beyond the drag threshold, a preview follows it and describes the drop action, and a vertical insertion marker shows a new tab position. Releasing in the strip moves the item's text, icon and drag mode together and preserves the selected item. A completed move posts $406, with the tabber in EventSource, the old index in EventData and the new index in EventX; no event is posted for an unchanged position. Update your page-to-index mapping when handling it - the tabber has one shared client area and does not move or rebuild page controls. Releasing outside the strip when tear-off is permitted posts $405, with the source item in EventData and the pointer's tabber-relative logical coordinates in EventX and EventY; your program decides whether to transfer a panel into a separate window. Escape, lost capture, application deactivation, item changes or destruction cancel the pending drag. Order changes commit only on release. Other modes, invalid indices and non-tabber handles raise a runtime error. See the complete 11_Detachable_Panel.bb sample, which tears tabs off into floating windows and docks them back. Requires Extended mode. See also: CreateTabber, SetPanelGroup, SetWindowTabDropTarget, EventData. |
