Rob,

I've a problem with the single surface entity system. I find that I can not create more than 50 spheres in your demo or I get a runtime error. "bbBank Does not Exist" - in the Writebankfloat function.

Great work btw.

Hmmm... sounds like you've gone over the limit somehow. Try increasing the bank size.

Also, remember there is a limit to how many polys you can shovel into a single surface (dx limit).

Remember it won't be efficient beyond 2,000 polys or so... it's a good idea to make several single surface "batches" so that they are bite size for the graphics card :)

Rob,

I've just looked at this and I don't understand half of it, ironically I was about to release my particle system to see if anyone wants to try and make it single surface.

Is there any chance you can document what's going on a little so I can try and plug my code into it or vica vesa.

At least explain what each of the functions do. I've been meaning to write a single surface particle system for a while and it seem pretty pointless to re-invent the wheel.

Obviously if I update this into a spangly effort I'll re-submit it as an open source system.

Hats off here, my single surface system is limited, does the job, but this interface is far easier! Fantastic!

nice work!

The CreateBank problem is that Fields nx, ny and nz are declared as Floats....in fact its the bank that store floats, these 3 values are handles of bank so int.

This lib is wonderfull, nice job !

Sorry I lost a lot of webspace stuff, I'll look for it as soon as I can, very busy with real life stuff.

If someone else can mirror it in the meantime I'd be grateful as its helped a lot of people.
