| enabled (optional) - 1 starts sampling (default); 0 stops it. hertz (optional) - requested samples per second, clamped to 1 through 120; 60 (default). |
| Starts or stops accelerometer sampling and returns 1 when accepted, or 0 on failure/unavailability. Sampling starts asynchronously: check status and sample age. Disable always succeeds. Restarting discards previous samples. Focus loss and debugger suspension stop delivery; foreground resume restarts a still-requested sensor. The actual sample rate is device dependent. iOS and Android provide native touch and acceleration, and web pages on phones and tablets provide touch. Other backends return neutral data.
