My Firefox experience:

1. Clicked the Play Now link
2. Window came up - plugin required click here to install
3. Wait for a bit
4. No plugins found - something about manual install came up
5. I closed the window
6. Closed webpage

Bear in mind I'm not a particularly patient user - but this would probably be the experience for most users :)

see. I got to the download plugin thing and stopped right there.

Joe : I noticed that you have a JavaScript to detect the browser and then display the right Page for it (e.g. Index2.html to FF users, Index.html for IE) and that's ok if the user already have the OSAKit Pro installed and if not a Missing plugin will be shown so You have to detect if the plugin is installed or not first and if not you point the user to install it. I can help you with that, email me. I should do that with the coming release and make to fully automated

Btw, Works fine here on IE, FF and Opera. Windows XP SP2.

Here's my experience:

Waited.
Nothing happened.
Closed tab.

Ok, I've added some JS to detect if the plugin has been installed or not and directs you to the appropriate page. Be sure to install the OSAKit Pro player (find it under Support/Contact heading).

My experience was pretty much the same as FD's

I'm using FF 2.0.0.2

How about adding some JS to detect whether your visitor has JS disabled?

If the user does not have JS enabled then he simply won't be able to play the game.

If your using Netscape 3.0, 4.x, 6.x, Opera 4.0 – 8.x or any Gecko-based browser such as Firefox and Mozilla then you will need to install the OSAKit Pro Player (link's on the main page).

I also tried on Vista but to no avail. In vista I get the loading box come up but no game is ever launched in either IE or Firefox, protected mode or not.

Thanks for the info Indie...Did you install the OSAKit Pro Player successfully? Close the browser and re-open it? Same results?

Surely you did not install OSAKit Pro player!! :)


Right now it work with Vista only if you logged in with Administrator rights. I am working on this to make it work without the need of this.

Also a Sandbox is in progress without relying on hooking/subclassing (right now it does work on XP/2000/NT but not with Win9x)

Yeah I've got it installed on all the machines. Vista would not work in Admin or Standard on either browser - interestingly enough there was no Launch Dialog.
