http://www.flowlines.info/movie/_rnd.mov Yep...they getting real good at it. Now whats the hold up with VR technology?
Looks really good! It all looks real, except I had problems beleiving that fire. Either way, best I've seen!
Yep, best liquid I've seen, really nice stuff. Looks like the fire uses liquid of some sort too. Particularly funny is the bloke with his willy on fire. I know, I know...
I thought it was real at first....then realized it was all CGI....
Link broken?

That's pretty cool :)
Some other great CG is here:
http://www.transbuddha.com/mediaHolder.php?id=1292About 75% of people accept that footage as fact - scary!

I emailed these guys and jokingly told them to release this thing to public so we can play game like this 5-6 years from now using this techonolgy.
They told me that they belive it will be lot sooner before we have this RTL.
Imagine the game Red Ocktober would be able to make :P
I bet his @#!*ed his pants out of excitment seeing this :P
Submarrine on a hunt after a gigantic Big White, now that would be a game :)
hahahahahaa... forget the subs... i wanna go swimming in this!!!
--Mike
hm...i think that is industry standard at the moment, isnt it? e.g. remember "the day after tomorrow" and the big wave running through NYC?
so the next step has to be realtime. im coming back and being excited then. :)
probably capable realtime using those physics processing units?

that sure is some amazing stuff. What's cool is that fluid dynamics are so well understood that they can now be simulated to that effect!
Red, in few years you'll be making sub games with those kind of fluids, what's best is that when you make it, you can move in and live inside that game :P
nahhh... not unless someone makes it real easy for me...
i'll be honest... i'll never be that good...
and in a few years, i'll be dead... so, it'll be up to one of you guys/girls to do it up for me :)

Now whats the hold up with VR technology?
Microsofts monopoly.
Problem with the transbuddha robot is that it's too human.
For instance, why only have cameras in the front of it's head? Why even have a head? Why carry a two-handed weapon? Wouldn't it make more sense to carry two weapons with two heads? How about a camera on each weapon?
In all honesty, if they can figure out a decent power source (i.e. not a huge, heavy battery), then these kind of robots WILL become real.
they could easily be powered by hot air. ;)
Red to show you respect we'll bury you like a solider at Sea :)
heyyyy.... what more could one ask for from a friend...
could you try and make it something like the final scene from Excalibur...

... and could ya add a few white doves flying off to heaven :)
--Mike
the gun should have an "eye" or two on it that the robot can aim with instead. The eyes on the head could just be for moving. Of course it needs them in the back of it's head and on the sides, and top and uh bottom.
Now whats the hold up with VR technology?
Microsofts monopoly.
NAhhhh!!! Parker Brothers owns Monopoly... Microsoft had that TRIBES fiasco... thats what set 3D back!!!
hee hee ;)
This is my new waterworld build written entirely without OOP concepts... You guys where not supposed to see it yet...
they should do someone 'weeing' in a swimming pool
Wow. Both vids. Wow.
