"Out of memory" while building modules

Please excuse my crappy Englisch, for I´m Swiss...

I get a very odd error while I try to build the modules:

[...,etc,etc, everything seems going perfect, until next line]

flat assembler version 1.52
error: out of memory.
Build Error: Failed to assemble /blitzmax/mod/brl.mod/blitz.mod/blitz_ex.linux_x86.s

I´ve no idea what this is about, since I surely got enough mem (640MB RAM, 1.3GB Swap). I even chmod-ed all files in the blitzmax directory to 777 to make sure there´s no file access violation...
I use gcc 3.3.3-7 on Fedora Core 2
I´d be that happy to finally try out BMax :-(...

Ah great. It´s solved now!
I updated to Fedora Core 3 and the newest glx card driver.
