@Gfk, yeah I'm with you on the public transport. It cost me £2.40 to go just under 4 miles on a bus recently - add the wife and kids for a 'return trip to town and your talking around £16 - to travel less than eight miles.
And the government stated a while bacl larger road tax would be ploughed back into the public tranport to make it more affordable - arse!
