I don't really think Smart Fortwo is a good choice for a car. Sure, it's not bad but the only distinctive feature I can see is that you can easily park it, and I've never had trouble parking cars even though I've driven only for a couple of years. It doesn't have superb fuel consumption (only slightly better than the competition), it doesn't have much horsepower, and of course only 2 persons can use it to commute and the 'luggage space' is very small. It's not extremely safe either. Since it's not powerful or comfortable, it's not suitable for leisure driving. Volkswagen already made a 3l/100km diesel car, which has better mileage than this car, so economic cars don't have to be super tiny.
