I haven't seen any manufacturing problems, except perhaps that the leather of the steering wheel is 1mm off to the right on one segment.
What's amazing about the smart car is, that still after 1 year or more after you've bought it, it still feels like the very first time when you enter it.
I can't explain why it's so fun to drive with it, maybe it's fun because it's different, the smallest car of the world, while still the fastest, I don't know.
I'm having a thrill everytime I see all the other cars stay 100m behind when I hit the pedal after the light goes green, and I don't even do the kickdown thing :)
But it's also is more safe on a frontal crash against a big mercedes:
