Keep in mind that Windows 98 doesn't support dual core, so your second core would be completely unused.

some prebuilt vista systems always seem woefully under speced for it as if they are forcing vista on you yet would be fine under XP
im guessing this was an early adopter of XP when the corporate owner originally owned it
(i got it from a local equivelant of morgan resale, so it wasnt just 2nd hand junk it was corporate 2nd hand junk ;) )
