How much would you pay for a game engine?

For a hobbyist engine, I'm willing to dish out in the 100-200$ range.
For an indie developer engin, I'd got up to 1000-2000$, depending on the quality.
For a professional studio, I couldn't care less as I wouldn't be the one paying ;)
