It can feel dissapointing because that more or less means more xmas 2009, xmas 2010, ... instead of xmas 2008. I'm not sure how much opening it speeds up development.
I completelly understand you. Believe me! Anyway, at last we can start playing with the engine, and prototiping while it is being developed by, instead of mark only, a team. I think this is a good move by Mark. Max3D Google code!
