The Gnet service always seemed pretty useless to me. Looking at the Gnet page, there are a variety of questions the viewer is going to be asking themselves; such as how they get the game software for a listed game; what is the URL for the game's website; etc - which the Gnet page provides none of the answers to.
Basically it was a good idea, but implemented in such a half baked fashion that it ended up being useless.
