FEAR actually place nice and smooth - possibly, could put the settings back to medium.
Even using the touchpad for mouse-look seems fine and responsive. I was surprised by this.

First thing I have noticed that stood out. When I reached a checkpoint in FEAR, whereby the game autosaves, it took about 4 or 5 seconds to save. On a desktop PC this would be barely noticeable (if at all noticeable). I will have to investigate the HD to see if there is anything slowing it down. I have only installed FEAR and Blitz3D (and uninstalled McAffee AV), so disk access should be quick.
The NC10 certainly boots and shuts down quickly and everything seems fine with the disk speed; however, I shall investigate this later.
