Thanks for the info gosse, good advice. Raid1 protects my data but it not as fast as Raid 0 though right? I probably need speed over safty as I'll backup everything to the server (my PC is a workhorse not a data storage device), although Raid 1 would make rebuilding my much PC easier if a drive fails. I didn't realise those SSDs were so cheap, pretty tempting to put Vista on it...
