I'm kind of enjoying figuring this out on my own, but if anyone's up for a challenge and can finish this before me I'll happily swipe the working code after. I'm basically just reinventing the wheel as far as writing text to the screen, but it should have some advantages over what's currently available I think. By the way, the highly observant may notice this isn't exactly perfect right now, but I don't care, I'm still learning. Enjoy!
