If one punishes "virtual stealing" then, surely, one must also punish other virtual crimes such as "virtual murder" and "virtual racism" (Goblin scum!), no?

It's ridiculous to punish people for threating other people (in real life, mind you, all but "virtual") in order to obtain what they want? So, it's ridiculous as well to punish organized crime for the same reason. The goods are of no concern to the judge: it could have been money, audio CD's, books or action figures and the crime would be the same.
