No, the IPhone publishing addon is free. You have to own the engine to be able to publish anyway, and the engine is not free.
Y'see that strikes me as a little weasel-wordy, but in lieu of other outfits charging extra for iPhone deployment I guess it's fair enough. You can't develop for the IPhone in any shape or form without joining the program
Yeah you can -- you can be a registered Apple developer without having joined the developer program. For testing and deployment you have to sign up, but until you're at that point it isn't necessary. Obviously it would be very handy to be able to check out ShiVa without jumping the gun because you might not be sure you even want to sign up until you know you have an engine that suits your needs.EDIT: Oh there's some YouTube vids linked in the forum.
