I thought Grid was exciting visually but rubbish where controls and handling were concerned. Just a little realism would have gone a long way but the turn in was all wrong for cornering and didn't feel like you were driving a car at all even though it all looked great. I really wanted to like it but couldn't. Was a bit better with a real force feedback wheel than with a gamepad but not much.

If they have spent more time on the controls and feel it would have been a really good game. I guess I just prefer my racers closer to a Sim with some realism. Which Grid doesn't have. Even arcage racers like Burnout have FAR better controls, so it's not really the lack of realism that I dislike about it.

I think I just played them for too long. Still remember playing space invaders coin op in 1978. When you play the same game for 30 years with different clothes it just gets boring. Things just haven't moved along all that much these last 5 years.
