Did you know the Xbox 360 supports any USB keyboard out of the box? All consoles have "virtual keyboards" available too and have for some time.

XNA provides a development platform for both the Xbox 360 and the PC and while "anyone" can release on the PC there is also a lack of a focused marketplace and centralised support means your chances of getting noticed and building up a user base is much lower. PC's are actually moving closer to consoles with Portals being the big selling agents for casual PC games.

The sure signs that PC gaming is dying off are:

PC game prices are dropping everywhere, even mainstream new games are now selling for £20 or less.
The number of PC games released is declining year on year, and has since 2002, this year I think it will reach a critical low in which it will be difficult for the major players to stay "in" the PC market, expect to see many more PC game projects cancelled.
Nearly all AAA titles are now releasing on Consoles first and most innovation is being done on them, the only two genres that are sometimes still releasing on PC first are FPS/RTS.
