i only really notice it when it switches itself off
cant hear my pc fans at the mo either, normally only when i switch on i can but thats about it (fingers crossed that they are working)
if any im getting the 360 elite and perhaps that extra fan gizmo that game sell if its needed, dont care how ugly it looks its still better looking than the classic
the only good looking console was the PSone (with matching toilet seat lcd) compared to the original and the ps2 fat and thin its ok on the eyes
