i found it too limiting in parts lacking in others and annoying nigh on everywhere else
i wanted to build my dungeon by adding walls not just dig around, without prior knowledge of the surrounding open areas my nice bits of wall ended up having great big come hither holes, i dont recall a build wall option they were just fortified by imps not built from scratch
the evenings that turned into mornings with startopia in sandbox mode :)
i always played with a top down view too so trees looked just like bushes and when walking my mums dog id look down at flowers that reminded me of trees and wonder what goods id get if i right clicked it now
i like the trading aspect too, i was going to make a mini arona dahl (sp) type proggie just to see if id ever need to use it, but other things got in the way
