Taping up the 'other' hole sounds like a good tip... Gotta go and try it, nope still recognises as only 1.44MBytes

Tried the:

FORMAT A: /F:7.2
FORMAT A: /F:0.72
FORMAT A: /F:720000
FORMAT A: /V:a /Q /F:720000

No dice.... with a disk with the other hole covered up....
