Mobile phones here too. (Mostly to stop phone zombies from blocking doorways you're trying to get through while they txt txt txt txt, completely oblivious to the world around them.)
Just give them a gentle push. With a cricket bat. Get rid of mobile phones. People need to be more responsible and pay attention to what they are doing, especially when crossing the road or driving. Whatever happened to natural selection, survival of the fittest and all that Darwin stuff? :(
We made it illegal. If it was legal to hit someone with your car, if they were brandishing a cellphone, you'd soon see a difference. Don't shoot the messenger. Ever since the ability for games to become ultra realistic and have intense gameplay, it seems that more and more people are wasting their lives away in front of a television.
What makes you think they're wasting their lives? An hour a day is fine... but how many people (especially children) with an XBOX 360 or PS3 play for only an hour a day?
Conversely, how many kids of the 80's only played for an hour on their C64? None of them? Yeah pretty much. What are these kids who wasted their youth doing today? Managing positions at high-tech companies. That bloke who wasted his life playing a sweaty game of catch all day? Bagging my groceries.
