Might be worth looking at your spell checker settings:
Spanner > Options > Minor Tweaks > [Change font and Language Settings]
Languages tab
Spell checker language: [ English ] ????

I am glad they have the "Restore pages that were last open" option
Very handy when you close down and want to re-start things later with the same windows open. Nice Opera feature
