A halfway decent LCD still beats the snot out of a good CRT
In what way? CRT has better contrast ratio, no interpolation when using different resolutions, no blurring on moving graphics. Sounds like you only prefer TFT due to no flicker which can be avoided on CRT with high refresh rates. Oh and of course they take up less space.
