> i have had an electric toothbrush that is charged by induction for years
Me too. However, the difference being the amount of energy and distance involved. That is, powering a 60W light from 3 feet away
> What about people stealing other people's electricity? Not like electricity is free or anything. Or will you get a WEP-key for your electricity?
Yup. I am sure they will find a way to charge you. My bet is, like car parking, you will need to pick up a ticket upon entering a building with induction charging. Then you pay your fees on the way out. £3 for every 20 minutes should cover for the UK(!)
