Hmmmmz, powerfull magnetic fields indoors charging equipment nearby...
I see the following issue coming to the new notebooks using that technology :
Battery is charged, Harddisk is empty.
Magnetic fields will always effect something somehow.
I'm not telling this is not possible, but one big disadvantage is the loss of power over distance. I don't people are happy if they use 2000W to charge/power a 10W device.
