D4NM4N: It's an unfortunate state of affairs that if Warner Bros. didn't file against the makers of Hari Putter, they could risk the loss of the trademark.

Trademark law is very clear: If you do not take every reasonable measure to protect your mark, you lose it. Wise then, for Warner Bros. to play safe. The loss of the Harry Potter trademark would be corporate suicide.
