I really don't understand the topic of this thread 'Blitzmax - A gaming language?'. Is ASM a gaming language? or C++?
No. Assembly is a Second Generation Language, C++ is a Third Generation Language, and BltizMAX is essentially a Fourth Generation Language for games. Like "oh I know Select, how do I do that in this language, oh I see it's called Switch". No big difference.
No big difference between Switch (you can only switch on constants, and in some cases only integer constants) and Select (you can switch on boolean expressions)? I beg to differ! The idea that "every language is basically C" is so absurd it's hard to refute, largely because of Poe's Law, and me thinking you're being secretly ironic.
