@ evak, Im using it for development, not with just releasing on "Linux" but eventually all 3.
Believe it or not i find coding, working and computing in general a nicer experience on a linux OS like Ubuntu or Fedora. Its as if the whole thing is designed with programmers in mind. So what if i dont get so many buying my software on linux platforms, however I WILL sell some. If I can offer my stuff on as many platforms as possible then great, after all its only a case of recompiling the same code. Developing on linux (and staying on the right side of GPL) makes my stuff extremely portable and free of any "windows only" temptations.
I then have the best of both worlds, the saturated, over populated windows market with virtually no exposure (small fish in an ocean), and then the other two (small fish in a pond). Although Mac/Linux are small chunks of the market with hardly any apps in comparison to windows, the amount of exposure would be much higher and even it out i reckon. Also, linux is screaming for quality games (for the kids if not the adults!) and this is certainly an area where many linux users like myself would not mind paying.
