What's "mind numbing" or "banal" is subjective. Alternatively, why would you object to paying for something "mind numbing" and "banal", then go and download the exact same "mind numbing" and "banal" product for free? Isn't it still "mind numbing" and "banal" regardless of whether it can be had for free or not?I'm not sure you've thought this through.
Anyway, they might be saying exactly the same about casual games.
