I get the appstub.linux signal handler 11 with Ubuntu too. However, with other Ubuntu 8.04 installations, it does run, but the program hangs when building modules.

Weird - after install Sun Java in Firefox, its working now... Are there any new packages the Linux version needs ?

The font used for the Home/Debug etc tab are awful, almost unreadable.
