To be honest the whole swearing thing is lost to generation. If my parents used the word 'bloody' in front of their parents they would get a clip round the ear. Likewise if i used the F word in front of mine, but saying bloody was ok. Everyone i know of my age group (early 30s) uses the F word when in similar company, just in a more mature, reserved fashion.
The thing is the younger generation of 8-18 year olds are far more clued in on the latest (and oldest) profanities than we adults will ever be. So the whole thing about swearing and kids is redundant anyway.
With my son who is only three, if i ever hear some choice words comming out of his mouth i will simply say, "swearing is fine son, just dont do it in front of any people over 30. Its not suitable for some of them"
