What would a bog-standard PC; say, 800mhz cpu, 256mb RAM, one IDE hard drive, consume in terms of power?
I've been considering setting such a system up for backups on my LAN and letting it run 24/7, but with UK energy costs being as stupidly high as they are, and set to increase another 40% in the coming months, I don't want to do this if its going to impact massively on my energy bills.
