Hmmm... I'm not impressed by the Ubuntu install. Not at all. I downloaded the 8.04 distro, burn it on a 48x CD, data verified. Rebooted and up the CD unit as 1ST boot device from the BIOS. Fine. I reboot, the Ubuntu distro starts, then a language selection screen shows up with a 30 second countdown. The cursor is already set a English and it's waiting for me to see if I will change it. I try to change the language with the keyboard as there is no mouse support from the boot menu. The keyboard doesn't respond! My keyboard is an USB, so I suppose Ubuntu's boot manager can't handle USB keyboard?.. Anyhow the 30 seconds went, and the disk was loading with a Ubuntu logo and progress bar, showing *loading Linux Kernel*... I tought, ok, maybe the Linux kernel will detect my USB keyboard! Well, after 20 seconds loading from the disk, the system went for a reboot! Damn, I tought, let's remove the disk. I didn't have a clue WHY it decided to reboot. Anyhow, I remove the disk, and it rebooted my windows...
Great...
EDIT: The reboot could be a bad CD burn, I don't like those RIDATA disks. I just burned a new copie see if it still does it.
