I'm not even a fan of microsoft, but these claims of windows crashing all the time, or apps taking windows with it isn't true globally.
I keep my dev pc (windows) on for months at a time. Any time an app freezes up on me, the task manager has never failed me.
Any time in the past that I have run into 'windows' problems was because windows gave me too much freedom to mess with drivers and such; always been my fault or a poorly made applications doing.
People use what they prefer. Most of this topic is as dumb as religious debates as there is no getting through or 'converting' people.
Why dont we just say all the OS's suck and get on with another "<insert preference> vs <insert other preference>" topic.
