Last time I heard from Matt he said he still wasn't happy with a few bits, I think it was mostly pertaining to the intellisense stuff as its quite a complex business in Blitzmax.
That said....
I've written about 200K+ of code in the beta version - some of it in XP, some of it in Vista and I can't think of a single problem I've encountered that should be holding off release of the Pro version.
Of course there'll be a few problems... a fresh pair of eyes will always see something that long-time testers missed. But the point is, its very usable.
