Um, Worms wasn't original. There were several games released way before that. 'Scorched Tanks', for one. 'Tanx', for another.
I think it all started with that gorilla game on the BBC (or acorn?) with 2 gorillas throwing bananas at each other, taking in to account windspeed, distance, angle, power. Anyone remember that? Gameplay versus graphics
