That sounds like 95% of indie games.
Well, Sturgeon's law does state that 90% of everything is crap, so...

As for Dangerous Streets being worse than Rise Of The Robots. Could the character turn around and face the other direction in Dangerous Streets? Yes? Rise Of The Robots wins. Flawless victory. One jumping side kick, then just jump over your opponent, and wait for the timer to expire.

Also, Championship Manager is up there, except it hardly qualifies as a game, so much as a spreadsheet.
