When people talk about "addressing" these issues what they really mean is putting millions of dollars into social programs that have never produced results, and never will.
I object to stuff like GTA and gangster rap because it conditions people to accept crime and gangs as "normal". It inserts what should be completely unacceptable things into the mainstream culture, and in so doing, changes the culture for the worse.
