when unity3d comes to windows

hehe ...
its not always greener but even more juicy in this case ^^

Naw blitz3d is a great language and if you want to program your app from 0 its definitely one of the best choices.
But at one point you are just sick of reinventing the wheel over and over again (or are not capable of it) and pay 200-400 USD for addon systems to Blitz3D (-> 300-500 USD alltogether) if you could have bought Unity3D, TGEA or whatelse at that price which is capable of all that + has editors + has many other features ...

Blitz3d was great some years ago when middleware was damned expensive. But in the todays market it is, as DBP, just totally overpriced for only beeing a little unflexible engine with its own enforced language and no flexibility / modularity to be extended (at least the last point is an issue that DBP does not have. Userlibs don't count as they can only "plug on top" but not expand existing capabilities especially visuals without ugly hacks)
Not even the "royality free" factor is working anymore, as neither Torque nor Unity have royalities.

I highly doubt that NF for example will really take of. If then potentially NB but only if it is priced reasonable for what you get -> <= 100 USD with an editor or <= 50-60USD just engine.
