Yes, directX9Max2d works fine.
The posted .exe was builded with unchanged initialization. Then automatically the first with HARDWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING is used...I have only comment out _PresentParams.EnableAutoDepthStencil = true, in order that the screen dont stay black...
returns D3D_OK, but produces errors on the most cards. And that is also in my simple initialization...very strange.
I not really want to write a new graphics driver, because yours looks good and I think the problem must be somewhere else.
Also I can not detect any error in my TDXRenderable type.

_Direct3D9.CreateDevice(0,D3DDEVTYPE_HAL,_FocusHWND,D3DCREATE_PUREDEVICE|D3DCREATE_HARDWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING|D3DCREATE_FPU_PRESERVE,_FocusPresentParams,_Direct3DDevice9)
returns D3D_OK, but produces errors on the most cards. And that is also in my simple initialization...very strange.
_Direct3D9.CreateDevice(0,D3DDEVTYPE_HAL,_FocusHWND,D3DCREATE_SOFTWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING|D3DCREATE_FPU_PRESERVE,_FocusPresentParams,_Direct3DDevice9)returns also D3D_OK and renders correctly, for a few seconds . Then the application crashes at _SwapChain.Present(Null, Null, Null, Null, flags)...I cant undersand this ;)
