Subscription vs. One-time cost

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Subscription vs. One-time cost

Thank you for the info skn3.

I am trying to build the game around a social environment with open access to the staff / developers and the idea is that the community drives the future of the game.

Once we have something tangable to show, I will open up the forums even pre-release and start taking ideas/comments from people who choose to post.

Your idea of demo vs demo is not bad if we restrict them to only playing with other demo players and no way to gain gold, level, participate in tournaments, purchase equipment, etc -- also easy to restrict by not allowing them to gain xp/gold -- it prevents access to other parts of the game easily and without any additional code.
