Raz you also have to realise how many people are used to subscriptions. Oddly enough I prefer subscriptions over one-time payments because I was never a long-term gamer. I've disgustingly probobly checked out hundreds of rpgs, and small subscriptions were a lot cheaper than a large single payment. And even with dedicated people, they feel if they keep forking money over every month, updates are expected, as where single-time payments, just like software, you only get what you pay for and cannot expect more. Single-time payments are more for games like what Steam offers....FPS, or single player.

With more info on your project Enigmatic, I think you should really use Credits (Pay for WHAT you play). What you are trying to setup sounds a lot like Poker.com. Subscriptions, OR one-time fees would not work in poker.com's case, nor do I think it would in yours.

Aside from every gambling site in the world using credits, Project Entropia, and SecondLife use these as well.
