Interesting comments Retimer.
I was trying to avoid the whole limited play aspect, but it would be fairly easy to limit them to a maximum of level 5 and cap how many hours they can play each month.. or I don't have to cap the level and just say you start with 4 demo hours (tournaments can win you more free hours) and you get say 1 hour each week, which you can save up or use each week.
This does not totally boot them off and can keep them playing, albeit at a very slow rate.
I think I now have a pretty good pricing model for the game. Now comes the really hard part -- getting players.
I would really like to know how the individual that did Eschalon Book I got himeslf interviews with IGN and other gaming websites. I think this is the kind of exposure I am going to need (although not until I have something I can show) -- which is still a good 2 months off.
