I'm using the Subversion release, too.
Personally I think that Blitzmax is getting much more complex than it needs to be. You don't just need Blitzmax any more. You need Blitzmax, you need Subversion, you need MinGW, if you use the Subversion release then you'll need an IDE as well... MinGW is a complete dog to set up. The whole thing is getting to be a nuisance, and unnecessarily so.
