I was brought up with the opinion that if they have to advertise to sell something it must be rubbish. And for the most part, and especially in this day and age it holds true.
I just don't want them invading my privacy trying to make me want stuff I don't need. Which is exactly what most advertising is for.
I'm not apathetic, but towards advertisments I probably am. Ever since I moved to the US lol. When I lived in England I used to rush to the door and was kind of interested in the junk mail because we only got a couple of letters a week.
Now all the big stores have their own seperate weekly junk papers, whether its supermarkets, chemists, restaurants and cafes, just about any kind of business you can imagine. You get great wads of the stuff every single day of the week. I should probably photograph my daily junk postal mail just to show people in the UK how bad it is. It's incredible!!!..
