Why piracy and sales are both dead ...

Fact is that many of the large scale company currently waste that much money on games that selling definitely won't make it anymore to get the money back.
with 20 mio+ for trash like crysis, they are on a dead end and are approaching the brick wall in front of their heads with a massive speed.
As long as AAA to EA, Ubisoft and others means "satisfy the graphics sluts only", they have no chance to survive on the PC actually, thats what the latest income breakins have shown very clearly. And this has nothing to do with piracy actually. A game that needs a high power rig to be played on visual settings similar to the advertisment just won't sell. but at least they would be able to make it more attractive to "try out" by making it cheaper + cross financing it through realtime ads. so the chances they get more "pick and try" costumers definitely exist.
I've bought countless games just because they seemed to be nice and much more affordable than the common worthless AAA stuff.
